There's no such thing as an organized lost and found box. In elementary school, it was a box to rummage through in hopes of finding that missing jacket your 9-year-old self claimed it wasn't that cold anyway (but mom said find it or else).
The process of looking is messy, chaotic, and personal. This itself inspired our entire visual direction from emptying out our pockets to breaking as many rules as possible.
The 2023 theme covers that in our film selection: Folks losing their homes to find shelter, friends looking for each other in crowds, and ourselves looking for what's next in life.
